Author Biography

Mordecai Briemberg, Douglas College, New Westminster

Mordecai Briemberg was trained in political science and sociology at the universities of Alberta, Oxford and Berkeley. He taught with Kathleen Aberle in the Political Science, Sociology and Anthropology (PSA) Department at Simon Fraser University. He now teaches English as a Second Language at Douglas College in New Westminster, British Columbia. Mordecai is a member of the board of directors of the Near East Cultural and Educational Foundation of Canada. Most recently he edited It Was, It Was Not: Essays and Art on the War Against Iraq (New Star Books, 1992).
