Inter-Sect Coalitions in a Mennonite Community
Abstract
Cet article présente une analyse des relations entre les sectes Amish et Mennonites au sein d'une même communauté. Malgré la traditionnelle division sociale entre les membres de différentes sectes issues d'un schisme, on remarque une tendance croissante vers la formation de coalitions dyadiques pour des objectifs spécifiques et d'une réciprocité plus généralisée entre les sectes. L'auteur s'efforce de découvrir les conditions sous lesquelles de tels changements se produisent.
